iPhone 13 production decreased

Meanwhile, Nikkei reported on Wednesday, citing sources familiar with the matter, that production of Apple Inc's flagship iPhone 13 smartphone fell 20% in September and October from previous plans. The holiday quarter is one of the busiest quarters for the company as many consumers want to buy its products as gifts a few weeks before Christmas.

Apple is in danger

However, after launching the iPhone 13 range and new iPads in September, Apple faces a bigger threat as it struggles to keep up with chip shortages and supply chain descriptions globally. Tim Cook told Reuters in October that the impact of supply chain challenges would be worse during the holiday sales quarter than in the previous quarter.

Nikkei reported that in October, for the first time in more than a decade, iPhone and iPad assembly was halted for several days due to supply chain constraints and restrictions on electricity access in China.
