Punjab Kings defeated Bangalore Royals Challengers by 34 runs in the IPL on Friday. Chasing the target of 180 set by Punjab, RCB managed to score only 145 runs. Newcomer Harpreet Brar was honored with the Man of the Match award for his all-around performance.
Punjab bowler Harpreet Brar dismissed key RCB batsmen Virat Kohli, Glenn Maxwell, and AB de Villiers in the match. Harpreet is only the seventh spinner to dismiss both Kohli and De Villiers in the same IPL match. Shreyas Gopal, Harbhajan Singh, Krinal Pandya, Nitish Rana, Rashid Khan, and Sunil Narin have done this feat before Harpreet. Shreyas Gopal has done this feat three times.
